Die cutting is a form of finishing that can define or enhance your project. It’s frequently used for invitations or note cards, pocket folders, labels, envelopes, business cards and such.
Operating much like a cookie cutter, the die is mounted to the press, paper is inserted, pressure is applied, and the die literally “punches” its shape into the paper and releases the excess to reveal its form. Dies can also be employed to simply “kiss” the paper, versus punching it, which is often used in adhesive label manufacturing.
